Argonay plant
The Argonay Plant has invested in a change to gas heating. This modification is due to the extension of the plant, but also for economic earnings and environmental concerns. The results: 30 % reduction in energy consumption, 30 % reduction in CO2 consumption, and reduction of 42 tons of dangerous classified products for the environment (fuel). Heat exchangers connected with gas boilers allow the regulatation of the workshop in cold or hot air according to needs.

Since 2008, the «Quality and Environment» Department, in collaboration with the plants and the Purchases-Transports division, has worked actively for transport waste safety in accordance with European regulations ADR (*). From now on in every truck carrying the concerned waste, an operator controls the safety instructions, the vehicle agreement, the certificate of driver training, the labelling of vehicles, according to a check-list…
