This was a great opportunity for SNR to present its qualities and new developments.
After a company presentation made by Mr. Didier Sepulchre de Condé, managing director of SNR, Mr. Christian Estrosi visited a production line used to make new generation bearings for the car industry and took the opportunity to meet employees present there. He then discovered a production unit which is currently being industrialized and will, in the end, enabled SNR to be more active throughout the railroad and wind-energy business. An investment for 13 millions euros has already been engaged and will be finalised by the year 2015.
They paid great attention to the problem of counterfeit activity within the industry. Christian Estrosi and SNR discussed this important subject and especially how to reduce this type of fraud, qualified as « anti-business » by the Minister. For the automotive aftermarket business, forgery represents –10% turnover, the loss of 50 jobs and a huge, incalculable brand image loss for the company.
« SNR is an illustration of great and prospering industry, all credits to its employees » concluded Mister Estrosi. He also emphasized the strong and constant innovation and development policy, essential qualities nowadays to adjust and keep making the best products.
