ICSA: A production site of excellence for harsh industrial environments

ICSA, an Italian subsidiary of the NTN Group, is a strategic production site specialising in spherical roller bearings (SRB) and sealed spherical roller bearings (SSRB), designed to meet the demands of severe industrial environments. Located near Turin in northern Italy, the 53-year-old site employs more than 170 people. It covers an area of 14,600 m², 80% of which has been modernised over the last four years.
Technical solutions for extreme conditions
The products manufactured by ICSA are used in the most demanding industrial sectors: heavy industry, mining, energy production, cement works and railway applications. They stand out for their ability to withstand heavy loads and extreme operating conditions, and for their long service life.
Our flagship products include :
- Spherical roller bearings with metal deflectors, designed for heavily polluted environments.
- EF800, designed for vibrating applications.
Since 2022, the site has also been responsible for the heat treatment of railway bearings for the European market, reinforcing its mastery of critical processes and quality requirements.

A transformed industrial site, aligned with the standards of the future
Thanks to an investment of 14.5 million euros and the support of R&D and marketing teams in Annecy and Japan, ICSA has radically modernised its equipment. This transformation, labelled "Transition 4.0", includes:
- Digitisation of processes (digital traceability, real-time monitoring),
- Robotisation of production lines,
- The introduction of high-precision machines, such as the latest generation of grinding machines,
- Ongoing team training.
The site also guarantees excellence in quality: complete control of manufacturing (from machining to assembly), rigorous quality controls with an integrated laboratory and advanced mechanical testing. ICSA is certified ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 45001 (health and safety) and ISO 50001 (energy management).
Strong local roots and a positive social impact
ICSA does not limit itself to its industrial mission. The site contributes to the economic and social development of its region. It maintains partnerships with local technical schools to train talented young people through vocational courses. In addition, concrete actions are being taken to reduce its environmental impact, particularly in terms of energy transition and resource management.
