On 10th July, NTN Europe marked an important milestone in the modernisation of its historic site in Annecy with the laying of the foundation stone for its new head office and technical centre. The project, part of a global strategy of innovation and sustainable development, represents a major investment in the future of the company and the region.
A strategic transformation
Since its establishment in Annecy in 1916, NTN Europe has always been a key player in local industry, particularly in the automotive, industrial and aeronautical sectors. The new head office, designed by the Patriarche architectural firm, will be a modern 10,000 m² building capable of accommodating 650 people in the offices and up to 850 in the collaborative areas. This project reflects NTN Europe's commitment to innovation, sustainable development and urban integration.
A commitment to sustainable development
NTN Europe's new headquarters will be a model of eco-responsible construction. Using mainly wood for its construction, the building will offer excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, significantly reducing its carbon footprint. It will also be equipped with 520 m² of photovoltaic panels on the roof and photovoltaic shading on the car park, enabling the company to reduce its energy consumption by 70%, its water consumption by 50% and its CO2 emissions.
Innovative collaborative workspaces
True to its philosophy of proximity and cohesion, NTN Europe has designed its new headquarters to encourage interaction and collaboration between employees. Half the surface area will be dedicated to workspaces, while the other half will include places for exchanges such as collaboration bubbles, alcoves and a central atrium. A restaurant, cafeteria and outdoor facilities will provide employees with a pleasant and inspiring working environment.
A symbolic ceremony
The laying of the foundation stone was celebrated in the presence of Mr Eiichi Ukai, CEO of NTN Corporation, and numerous officials. A symbolic wall made of recycled wood bricks was erected, marking the start of this ambitious project. Mr Ukai also planted a Japanese cherry tree, a symbol of renewal and hope, underlining NTN Europe's commitment to a sustainable future.
This new European headquarters and technical centre is a promising chapter for NTN Europe, reinforcing its role as an industrial leader while contributing to the economic growth and quality of life of the Annecy region.
